How It All Began
For years, it lingered in my mind
For years, the idea of creating something like Test the Ummah lingered in my mind. I felt a deep desire to build something meaningful, something that could help people grow in their faith and strengthen their connection with Allah. But life has a way of keeping us busy, and this dream of mine remained just that a dream.
Then everything changed
The day my father passed away, my world was turned upside down. Losing him left a void so deep, I didn’t know how to fill it. The pain was overwhelming, and for a while, I felt lost like a part of me had disappeared forever.
Finding healing in faith
In that emptiness, I turned to the one constant in my life: my faith in Allah. Slowly, I began a journey of seeking knowledge not just to learn, but to heal. SubhanAllah, it worked.
Every piece of knowledge I gained brought me closer to Allah and gave me strength I didn’t know I had. My heart softened, my mind expanded, and my soul began to heal. My faith became my anchor, and seeking knowledge became a source of light that guided me through the darkness.
These profound words of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) reminded me that the pursuit of knowledge is more than a noble act, it’s a duty and a lifelong journey for every believer.
Turning pain into purpose
From this realisation, Test the Ummah was born. It’s not just a quiz platform. It’s a way to help others discover what I experienced: that learning about Islam isn’t just about information, it’s about transformation. It’s about filling the voids in our hearts and strengthening our connection with our Creator.
Whether you’re just starting your faith journey or have spent years learning, Test the Ummah is for everyone. Through engaging, thought-provoking questions, it’s designed to help you reflect, grow, and deepen your spiritual connection.
Why it matters
When my father passed away, I realised how precious time is and how crucial it is to invest in what truly matters: our faith, our relationship with Allah, and our personal growth.
For so many of us, it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day or feel overwhelmed by how much there is to learn. But here’s the truth: it’s not about knowing everything. It’s about starting.
You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need the courage to take that first step.
Test the Ummah is my way of helping you take that step. It’s my way of honouring my father’s memory and turning my pain into purpose.
